Natural Causes

by Eric Chappell
29th July 2.45pm; 28th to 1st August 7.30pm
Vincent is a suicide consultant working for Exodus, a company promising: “A beautiful death. All perfectly natural”.  Celia Bryce has been depressed for a long time, frequently talking about ending it all.  Celia’s husband Walter, a writer, wants to help her depart this world with dignity.  Angie is Walter’s ambitious secretary, and together they have a plan for Celia that implies a much darker agenda.  Not just a peaceful end; a fresh start.

In this razor-sharp black comedy by Eric Chappell (the mastermind behind Rising Damp), the best-laid plans go hilariously wrong.  With a rubber plant that’s seen better days, a Samaritan with quite enough of his own problems, and a suicide pact that isn’t all that it seems, the real question isn’t if someone will go – it’s who will be left standing.

A farce where the drinks are lethal, the motives are murderous, and the comedy is to die for!
