SHREK the musical
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Caroline or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage, and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears.
“Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek…” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand…and his name is Shrek.

Tickets
Concessions include children, students in full time education and people over the age of 65.
Parking
The Theatre campus has very limited onsite parking available, parking any available spaces will be allocated on a first arrival basis. We recommend you use local car parks such as St Radigund’s (5-7 minute walk), Pound Lane (10 minute walk) Canterbury West (10-12 minute walk) or public transport.
Mask Wearing & Covid-19
Mask wearing is no longer mandatory but we support an individuals choice to wear a mask throughout the building.
The theatre has a fresh air flow system which pumps fresh air from outside into the auditorium – this can mean if the outside air temperature is low the theatre can feel cool.
Refunds & Exchanges
The production company is not offering refunds unless the show is cancelled. Tickets can be changed for an alternative performance of the same show (subject to availability). We can endeavour to resell your ticket, if the show is old out. if your ticket is sold, we will refund the ticket value to the original payment method.
